Folks who work a 4 day or variable work week, are full-time and benefits eligible — including eligible for holiday pay.
If you do not work on one of Origin’s standard holidays as a matter of your regular schedule (determined by the preceding 4 weeks and following 2 weeks of work), you are eligible to replace that holiday with what Origin calls a Floating Holiday - essentially a replacement for the holiday you didn’t need to take because you were already off on that day.
Floating Holidays that are replacements of Origin standard holidays must be used in the same week of the Origin holiday itself. For example, if an Origin holiday falls on a Monday, and you don’t work on Mondays, you must take another day off that same week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday).
You don’t. You and your Manager will need to record your holiday in the schedule. If you are hourly, your Manager will reach out to the payroll team to record your hours for your time off appropriately.
