Let’s start with a bit of the “why” behind reviews at Origin. Some folks are excited for review time, others dread it with every fiber of their being, and some sit right there in the middle somewhere. At Origin, we believe reviews are an important moment to stop and reflect on how hard you’re working, the amazing results you’re achieving, and if those two things are correlating, a true moment to pause and reset your course so they can.
Chances are pretty great that you know what’s working for you and what’s not. And while all of us can be convinced that our inner monologue is the very expert we should be taking advice from; we also recommend that you get advice and feedback from others who work closely with you and from your supervisor (who navigates the day-to-day and results orientation of the entire team. Reviews are the perfect opportunity to do just that.
Please keep in mind, though, that you (and your supervisor) should never be “waiting for your review” to have ANY conversation. Reviews are meant to sum up alllllll of the conversations you’ve been having up to that point. No surprises. No shock. Two perspectives come together to celebrate results, look forward, and put a plan together.
As a reminder, compensation conversations will be happening separately from reviews this year (and every year). Those conversations (around 2026 compensation) will take place in December for compensation effective Jan 1, 2026.
Anyone hired in July 2025 and beyond will not be completing an annual performance review this cycle.
